Clementi Forest is an 85-hectare patch of unprotected forest that lies along the Green Rail Corridor, flanked by Clementi Road and Ulu Pandan Road.
The forest (roughly bound in yellow) lies alongside the Green Rail Corridor (in green), with 2 river/channels running through: one is uncanalised (in light blue); and the other (in dark blue) is part of the Bukit Timah First Diversion Canal. Retrieved from Google Earth, 2020.
How to get there:
Start at the "Opp Ngee Ann Poly" bus stop along Clementi Road.
Follow the stream down.
Enjoy :-)
Recommended attire:
Clothes you don't mind getting (potentially) knee-deep in mud
Good hiking shoes (some parts are sloped and can get slippery)
Long pants (the vegetation is pretty overgrown so you probably want to protect those legs)
Tips:
Start at 7am on a clear day for maximum gl0w.
Takes around an hour or less, depending on how long you get stuck getting across the muddy stream.
There isn't a fixed route to follow - it's up to personal interpretation. If unsure, just follow the most worn-out path and you'll find your way out.
End off with a breakfast at Bukit Timah Market (shoutout to the congee stall).
